The Vast Heart Of A Little Girl

Inside my heart, she lives,
and with her tiny little arms,
she intertwines herself in my life.

It’s been a while since we’ve spoken.
“Oh, little girl, you make me whole.”

I entwine my fingers in her curls,
hoping that she’ll accept my caress.
“Oh, little girl, I know you feel lonely,
but with my company, I guide you back home.”

Inside my soul, she lives,
and with a smile, I confess:
“In my heart, you shall persist.”
